"If one advances constantly in the direction of his dreams,
he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
Thoreau
For most people, the failure to accomplish their goals in life
isn't so much a lack of "want to," but a lack of "how to."
A method for harnessing goals is to write down a random list
of everything that potentially might need to be accomplished
between now and the completion of what you are trying to do.
Then go back and mark each step with an E, M or L for whether
it would come in the Early, Middle or Later stages of the work.
From that, make a list of just the steps that need to be done in
the Early stage, and put an approximate date next to each one
to indicate by when you think you could get that step done.
To "Interlock" further to your goals, follow that same method
to break the work down into smaller timeframes by asking,
"What must I do this month to be on target for my Early List"
then, "What must I do this week to make my month's goals?"
Then ask each day, "What do I need to do today in order to be
on target for the week?" And just concentrate on doing those.
