Life
teaches us what it wants us to learn by escalating its signals.
At
first, it drops threads along our path to tell us to go this way
and
not that. But if we don't get the signals, it drops pebbles,
then
rocks, then bricks and boulders. Eventually it drops whole
mountains
on us to get across a lesson it wants us to learn.
The
principle of Escalation says, "If at first you don't succeed,
escalate
the pressure." Change the balance of rewards or prices
more
in favor of succeeding, just the way that life does.
