The principal thing we need to learn in life is how to live our lives so as to be able to
deserve and attract the good fortune of the fates. The best way to deserve good fortune or
grace is by helping others. Because the fates seem to encourage us to play life on higher
levels, if we do that, they seem to reciprocate and reward us for doing so. Just as magic
happens when we trust enough to go on mystery trips with the right attitude, it also
occurs when we trust and give to others.
Goodness needs support if it’s to grow in the world, and the more effort that is made
toward goodness, the more reinforcement comes into play. As we connect with others who
share positive values, then each person's interaction with the fates magnifies the good
fortune each encounters. As we help enhance goodness for one another, our lives and the
lives of those around us improve as we reinforce each other and align our lives and
choices with the force that's the source of the magic. We tap into the levels of
"spiritual magic" in life.
As we join together with other people for higher purposes, it seems to operate like pieces
of metal attracted to a magnet. Its magnetic power not only attracts us, but begins to
flow through us, turning our lives into magnets which attract others toward that source,
and reinforcing the positive influence that it exerts in the world. Whenever people join
together for good, their combined power draws to them a magnified magic as each one's
efforts helps to reinforce that of the others as well. That's one of the reasons why
churches work.
